Remember that untitled RPG project teased by
Witcher 2 producer Tomasz Gop back in April? Well, we now know that
the Dark Souls-inspired game is officially
called Lords of the Fallen, and that it will
be published by City Interactive. According to info garnered from
Tomasz' LinkedIn profile, the action-RPG is set in a medieval
fantasy world around a millennia after the demise of a god whose
corpse has split the world in two. You start off by attempting to
traverse the split and have to choose which side will be your ally,
while the plot allows for multiple routes to the conflict between
humans and demons - the latter are ruled by a Fallen God and his
Lords and Generals (Boss Fights…Yeah!).
Combat is said to be inspired by titles such as Dark Souls,
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, and Batman: Arkham City, meaning
that it will reward skill, diligence and should appease the
hardcore ARPG crowd. The game is set to arrive in 2013 for the PC,
Xbox 360 and PS3.
