For quite some time there were rumors in the air that Bethesda acquiring rights to develop and publish a new title based on STALKER franchise. But the rumor was denied by the GSC boss Sergei Grigorovich as he said that he did not sell the rights to Bethesda. Today a Russian blogger Sergey Galyonkin,  unveils that according to the "reliable source" Bethesda has acquired all rights to develop and publish a STALKER game as well as rights to extend the universe. Although Galyonkin also states that GSC boss Sergei Grigorovich has not sold the brand to Bethesda but they have all rights to develop a game based on STALKER franchise with their own in house technology- Which we presume, the new Stalker game will be powered by ID Tech or the superior version of GameBryo engine.
