After word of the sequel which emerged on the internet earlier
this month, Hideaki Itsuno director of hack-n-slash game, Devil May
Cry has discussed and thrown some light on a few new features
planned for Dragon's Dogma 2, and has also
mentioned that the sequel will feature a bigger RPG universe than
its predecessor. According to the interview with Japanese games
magazine Famitsu, Itsuno reveals that in the first game they were
only able to incorporate and finished the game development with
approx 60% or 70% of ideas, some of the proposed concepts were not
implemented and the size of the world map was only two-third of
what they had initially decided to create . Amongst the ideas which
were not used, he specifically mentioned a feature to create custom
maps as well as the ability to vault/run on top of enemies to
perform a jump grab manoeuvre.
