Thomas Jane - the actor who starred in the 2004
Punisher film as beleaguered protagonist Frank
Castle - showcased a short film (which also stars Ron Perlman) at
this year's Comic-Con as an ode to the popular character. Titled
Dirty Laundry, the clip proves that Jane has what it takes to
portray The Punisher, provided appropriate directors, producers and
writers get their act together and actually pay some attention to
what the character is all about. The following is what he had to
say while debuting the unofficial film, which features some brutal
bone-crunching kickass fight scenes: "I wanted to make a fan film
for a character I've always loved and believed in - a love letter
to Frank Castle & his fans. It was an incredible experience
with everyone on the project throwing in their time just for the
fun of it. It's been a blast to be a part of from start to finish
-- we hope the friends of Frank enjoy watching it as much as we did
making it."
